The Barn at Bombers Farm – Self Catering Barn in Kent

The Barn is situated in a beautiful part of the Kent countryside.

Although situated in open country, the Barn is only 14 miles south of the city to which there are frequent fast trains. Dating from the 16 century, the buildings are listed as being of historic and architectural interest.

The Barn has been beautifully converted and now offers guests the highest level of comfort and facilities. The original oak frame of the Barn has been retained, and there are oak floors and joinery throughout.

Up to six guests will enjoy fabulous country views from nearly every window. The Barn is spacious and airy throughout.

On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, a double bedroom and large lounge with access to the grounds and patio. There are also two bathrooms.  Upstairs there is an open plan kitchen, dining lounge area and two bedrooms with twin beds.

The Barn has wi fi, satellite tv, and full central heating as well as all the usual self catering facilities. There is ample private parking in front of the Barn. All linen is provided.

The Barn overlooks open the fields and woodlands and lies within an area designated as an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”. Walkers & Cyclists alike will enjoy the numerous footpaths and bike trails nearby.

Bombers is ideal for visiting the historic towns of this region such as Westerham, Penshurst, Sevenoaks, Greenwich, Chatham, Rochester and Tunbridge Wells. Some of the finest National Trust Properties in the country are also close by – Knole House, Penshurst Place, Chartwell, Ightham Mote, Eltham Palace, Sissinghurst and Hever are all within 30 minutes drive. The coastal attractions of towns such as Brighton, Rye and Eastbourne are little more than an hour’s drive away, as is Canterbury.

Outside Description

The Barn is situated in open country within the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet it is only 14 miles south of the City of London. The Barn forms part of the ancient farmyard, access to which is via a secure gate. There is ample parking in front of the Barn. Guests are invited to visit the owners extensive gardens although the Barn has it’s own garden to the rear.

Entrance hall, with antique spiral staircase to first floor. Downstairs lounge, two bathrooms, ( one with power shower cubicle, both with WCs) laundry room, double bedroom.

First Floor Description

Large open plan living/ dining area . Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, microwave etc. Two twin bedrooms.

Window Views Description

The main windows face west over undulating fields and paddocks, surrounded by ancient woodlands. Privacy is assured.
